Andyap... Nice crisps photos.

Hi Coolthought,

Thanks, this is the first time I've shot a product though I've spent quite awhile in avian photography.

Hi,

Thanks for your comment.

Yes, Mrs. Yap is extremely happy with her new CM.  Surprisingly, when she sat on the bike for the first time since she was a kid yet she ride off immediately like second nature to her.  Earlier, I was apprehensive that she might have to learn to handle the bike all over again.

Cheers

Got my white Birdy just barely 2 hrs ago. My first foldable and small wheel bike.

Folding not as easy initially but with a bit of practice, I can see myself doing it with no sweat.

Took it for a spin on the street. Pretty positive experience. The bike feels solid and looks like able to tahan some rough handling. The steering takes a while to get use to. Surprisingly fast considering the small wheels, and somehow has the habit of over-speeding while turning corners, and has to brake at the last moment.

Mrs Rhubarb can't handle the steering at all, but likes the look of the bike. If she knows how much it costs, she would probably return it and get 2 LV bags instead.

You can actually use the money to pay for a trip to Paris and get 2 LV bags instead. Its cheaper to get those bags there.

Hi everyone, I just got my new folding bike last week. It's not a Strida, Birdy or any of those listed in this forum, "unfortunately cos it's just out of my budget" ....  but a Dahon's Vitesse D7. I live in Bukit Batok East (near Little Guilin), and if you see a guy wearing a "almost" blue LAS halmet and pedalling a red colored Vitesse D7, that's probably humble "me". I would like to join you guys for rides if there is any organised along this western part of Singapore. cheers (!) Cheesy

I am quite new myself, but welcome to you Eric69

Didn't get to East Coast Park over the weekend due to the poor weather. We went to Ulu Pandan Connector instead, and rode all the way to IMM and Bukit Batok areas.

It was a good ride, and both Mr and Mrs Rhubarb enjoyed the afternoon out. Mrs Rhubarb had no problem with the steering at all. The folding and unfolding is reasonably easy. However, the bike seems a lot heavier to carry folded than unfolded. Any explanation? You'll need to be pretty strong to be able to carry it for daily commuting.

The park connector is a bit of disappointment. There are several interruptions (traffic lights, AYE where you had to walk over this old railway bridge).

Took a photo during a break at a coffeeshop at Bukit Batok.

Hi hi,
I'm a bike nut and I own a yellow Strida 3.
She's one of my favourite rides and I really like that eye-catching shade of yellow Smiley
My other babies are a Dean Scout Titanium mtb, a Dahon Speed D7 and 2 road bikes - a Cannondale R600 Cad2 & a Litespeed Bella.
Cheerio.

Its must be mental. Probably, because you have to bend down further to pick it up when folded. Peeps who bought it usually does not consider using it on the public transport since its original design does not consider wheelable when folded. But reviews has said that it is the most comfortable ride from a folding bike.

The park connector is a bit of disappointment. There are several interruptions (traffic lights, AYE where you had to walk over this old railway bridge).
I call it the park connector disconnected. ;p Half hearted attempt to link the parks but something is better than nothing.

here's my white carryme on the MRT, after getting it yesterday. Not supposed to be in the (830pm) but no one stopped me when I wheeled it across the gate at Pasir Ris. however, on the north bound train, it was still packed at 9plus and had trouble getting out at my stop especially when people are not disposed to giving way. Of course i got the customary glances and outright stares.

Went to town to meet friends and they gave me a lift back home with my carryme in the boot. But not before getting in a few rounds on the carryme at the carpark!

my first multi-modal transport was a success and I look forward to travelling more like that. Just need to be savvy about how long the peak hours are.

If you wear a trench coat, you can hide the CM in it on the train. :p

The footprint of the CM is so small (thanks to the vertical nature when folded), it is hardly in anybody's way even on a crowded bus or train.
