Welcome to the yellow-side.  Grin
The yellow-side is stronger than the dark-side, coz we have lots of yellow coloured fruits: lemon, banana, mango, pineaple, jackfruit, starfruit, which are all nice, and full of essential nutrients, vitamins and anti-oxidants.

Hello Everyone,

This is Raymond , got my Strida 5.0 on Wednesday.
Got interested in the Strida b'cos of its unique design.
Appreciate all friendly people at the Strida shop, especially the nice chap who brought me on a ride around with the Strida.
Sorry I didn't catch your name, Thank You ;-)

Hope to join the group in future rides.

I am not  really a strong rider, at the moment, thinking of just using it for short errants from home.. "prata runs", dvds etc..
But I think the idea of hopping off the public transport with the bike, to roam leisurely some unexplored area or park, really entices me.

Cheers,
Ray

Eer technically its for her. She was impress by the colour and look of the bike. The next thing for her to do now is to learn to ride it. Now my younger son is asking me to bring him to the shop to look and choose the colour for the Carry Me liao.Chiat latliao. You got the dual speed carry me? I've told my wife about the 25 Aug. ride and she seem interested, hope she can master the bike by then.Cheer Grin

Kupper, the kindly chap who cycled with you is a Strida Rider, Davidtch who owns one of the limited edition red Stridas!  Many Strida and Carry Me Riders often come to hang out at the folding bike shop and will be happy to teach new riders how to ride the Strida or the Carry Me!  Grin

Jolly good idea.Organise a ride at Sentosa. Men must be bare body, wear helmet, glove, elbow and knee guard with swimming trunk. For ladies - Bikini, helmet gloves, elbow and knee guard.Just imagine 50 stridas, carry mes'and birdies riding in this outfit, next year National Day parade sure get invited to form a contigent one. Grin By the way my son tried the carry me just now,no problem for him although the seat is a bit too high.I'll change to a Flight saddle and a sawn off syncross seatpost for him.that will reduce an inch or so. Cool

Hi all,

whyyouwakeup is the first thing my 2.5 year old son tells me every morning with a smile, so that is my id. My name is Andy.

Just got my Strida 5 from the shop the day before national day. Loving it so far, was initially rather difficult to ride as the positioning feels very strange. After 20 - 30 mins, I am crusing rather comfortably.

Brought it to the office and everyone just went wow!!! A super cool looking foldable bike.

Anyway, got a question for the more experienced riders, my current route from Shenton Way to Whampoa Drive as follows -

Esplanade Park - Marina Promenade - Kallang Sea Sports club through the tunnel - Crawford Rd - kallang Junction - Boon Keng Rd - Towner Rd - Whampoa Drive.

Anyone with a better or safer route in mind? Pls kindly advise.

Thank you

Cheers,
Andy

may be you want to psycho the teacher to include cycling as CCA? it has physical exercise, it is fun, and combined with a tour guide it becomes a history lesson too. Tongue
