Brompton bike gets showcased in Beijing Olympics Closing Ceremony!

The 8-minute preview performance prepared by London, host city of the next Summer Olympic Games in 2012, shown in the spectacular Beijing Olympics Closing Ceremony began with a London bus coming into the Bird's Nest and alongside it, came the British cycling gold medallists Chris Hoy, Victoria Pendleton and Jamie Staff, all dressed up to look like typical London cycling commuters. One of them rode a black Brompton, in a suit no less (the signature look of a Brompton rider!)
Here's the picture by Xinhua agency.
All Brommie riders, stand tall and be proud - your bike just got featured in the Olympics closing ceremony - way cool!

Track Bike/Fixed Gear indeed is fast. You can only move forward and no brakes. So called it suicide bike.
The Brommie shown in Olympic closing is a S-Type.

Ya, it was Chris Hoy, the British triple gold medallist. Brompton UK had worked with Team GB organisers to feature the Brompton and what a response it received! Millions saw it 'live'!
Here's another pic of Chris Hoy on his Brompton (courtesy of London Underground blog by Annie Mole)
