In a Sunday Times article (18 April 2010) "Making S'pore 'bicycle friendly', Brompton rider and daily bike commuter Pei Mei talks about cycling on the roads and shows her office desk under which she parks her folded Brompton bike.   Smiley

Very nice .... good article ... Steven, just as we have chat, the opening statement is so true about new township urban planning ... At least the decision and policies makers must be cyclist themselves to know what they are planning, recommending and approving.

I have added comments in bracket ..

"For this to happen, attitudes of motorists (include Drivers, Cyclists & Pedestrians) and policies (mindsets) of urban planners (URA, LTA, NEA and NParks) must change.

BTW, I also want to be famous with my bike park under my work desk leh .... wahahahaha  Wink Grin Grin Grin

Anybody notice the 'kang tao jie' (4-D no.) pinned on the board ? Grin
All road users must change their mindset. Even drivers are complaining about motorcyclist and vice versa.

In an urbanised environment, human predator nature can not be avoided.  In TW, ppl usually are nice & courteous.  When taiwanese hold steering wheel, everything changes.  I will live wif it as i grow wiser.

OT: I think d menace of d road is motorised cyclist.  A lot of these bike r illegal & no action has been taken by relevant authority.

Also motorcyclist who ride on pavement, park on pavement because dun dun dun ... it is FREE!
They are worst than cyclist cos their wheels are bigger, the exhaust is hot. (I have experience scalding my leg because of the exhaust).
