The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson visited the Brompton factory in Brentford, West London on 4 June 2011. He cycled with Brompton's Managing Director Will Butler-Adams from Chiswick to Brentford.
Brompton Bicycle is the largest bicycle manufacturer in the UK and the last transport manufacturer of any kind in the UK capital.
The company's iconic folding bicycles are globally recognised for their combination of compact size and superb ride quality.
Brompton Bicycles received the Queen's Award for Exporter in 1995 and received two Queen's Awards for Enterprise, in the Innovation and International Trade categories, in 2010.
