Cheesy We would like to thank everyone who hung out at the roadshow and helped out in the hot sun and sold to just anyone who thronged the booth.

Many stayed till the event was over, past 12 pm.  Special mention must go to:

Rex, Regina, David, PPG, Tofu, Yen, Will555, Hippo, Minkhunk, Clarisa, Coolthought, Albert and Andy (my 'golden boys helpers' who helped set up in the dark at 5 am and drove a mean lorry!) who stayed back till the end to help tear down the booth and thus making it so much faster to pack up! Thank you very much, guys and girls!

Coolthought, you became our key bike jaga, making sure our bikes didnt go missing! Thank you! Tofu "& Yen kept a close eye at the Birdy bikes while Minkhunk happily took off with a CarryMe that everyone thought went missing!  Grin

To Awcute, who ate and ate and still discharged his volunteer photographer job well, many thanks!

To Oklah and Hippo who bought us beehoon breakfast, kopi and bread, thank you (we ate them for lunch!)

To SlimJim88, Paricutin43, Hi5, KeepFitLah, Miloboi, Judy, HazyHub, Hazywif, Chris, thanks for coming for your first ride with the group. To Berserk, thanks for bringing some of the newer riders under your wings on your route back!

The weather was so hot so we were quietly grateful to those who stayed back and helped out! In the flurry of action, everyone was either talking to a complete stranger about some bike at hand, or opening another to show or nudging me or Steven for prices! It was a bit of blur after a while but it was a happy blur cos we were touched by the kind help we received from our Strida Riders!  Cheesy

OK here are the selected few to be finished today.
Selection is based on subject matter or because I like to picture (colour, composition, angle and even subject(s)).

Here is 640x480 for fast up/download and medium quality JPEG compression.

If you want larger size image, please PM me the filename, and you preferred email address which can handle up-to 5MB file attachment.
If you just tell me to send you, your pictures, you will not get any as I will not know which one you want and I am not going to go thru all the pictures to look for yours, for everybody who ask me.
Also tell me if you want to get an original JPEG or the edited JPEG (which is mostly s-curved enhanced i.e.lighting only, a couple with cropping)

Phew... so tiring.

After viewing all these photos taken with "sweat but no blood", I would say that Berserk is almost always ready to have his photograph taken (always with a good or great smile) and he is also the most photogenic person so far taken with his Strida in all of the group ride. A close second would be Tofu.

Woot!! a pink racer rode by a guy in the photo just above.

In fact, my friend and I noticed that after the first turn.... leading the pack is a cyclist in his super slick and fast pink bicycle who is followed closely by his friend (saw them passing through the checkpoint together earlier and we assumed it is) in a pink jersey. Man... they look so happy and "gay". Takes lots of confidence to wear such colours... Wink

WOW ... what a fantastic event !!!!  THANKS for posting these great pictures.

Question : how did all the bikes feel to ride ?  eg Strida 3 / 5, carry me, Birdy etc. etc.

Question : how did all the bikes feel to ride ?  eg Strida 3 / 5, carry me, Birdy etc. etc.

The Carry me attracted the most questions and curiosity and followed closely by the Strida. Reason, probably, these are the most unique looking foldable bicycles and as well as the size that it is able to collapse to.

Personally, Carry Me hold a lot of interest to me too. It collapsed to about 2/3 (or more less) the size of the folded Strida. It weighs in at about 8.5 kg. Therefore, in terms of portability, Carry Me is a clear choice. Surpisingly, for such a small wheels, Carry Me is even able to match the speed of an average cyclist on a mountain bike. However, it is a pain to transverse on rough terrain as all the shock experienced by the bicycle is transmitted to the butt of the rider.

Actually different people are attracted to different bikes.
More housewives and elderly are interested in carry me.
More young professionals are interested in Strida 3/5.
The remarks are strida 5 is very nice to ride compared to strida 3, but well the price is another story
Birdy & Reach attracted people who want lots of gears... mostly mountain bikers are attracted to birdy and reach.

Well after really trying the Birdy and the Reach, I must say that they are nice pieces of equipment man, especially for the avid cyclist who wants a high-performance bicycle. However, I don't really see much of a need for that in Singapore in terms of a commuter bike, and I will invest in one if I really am dying to go long distance or want to go off-road cycling often, which I don't really have the time for anyways! Haha still love my Strida the most!!! So sad it kana scratched like MAD when I parked it at the side at the booth... Confirm got some itchy fingers go and push my bike here and there and let it scratch against the railing...  Cry Cry

And of cos, our photographers are AWESOME MAN!!! Great photos as usual, captured all the joy of us riding and talking about the bikes, though I do admit that I looked super blur when trying to fold/unfold the Birdy man!!! Haha!!! (not easy actually, needs quite a lot of practice compared to our dear Stridas!)

Anyway as uncle george said birdy is not designed for ease of folding/unfolding but more for performance (gears) with, option to fold.
