It was an early ride at ECP F2 Carpark last Saturday and the first time about 20 Strida Riders came together with some Dahon Riders to cycle together. We cycled to the end of ECP and then we made a turnaround to cycle all the way to Fort Road and then to Old Kallang Airport to have a yummy breakfast of wantan mee, loh mee and kway chap.
We made heads turn when we cycled in a group! And created a little commotion at the newly renovated hawker centre at Old Aiport Road when we folded our Stridas really quick (under 10 seconds!) and wowed the customers at nearby tables with our folding skills!
It was quite a sight when all the Stridas were folded and parked next to our tables.

This bunch of people... first no action, then ask them to wave hand, they just do so-so, ask them do more, they complain. Chey...
May be shy? coz 10 meter from there, there is a couple hugging and may be kissing passionately, ignoring these noisy bunch.

We split with Dahon riders since they are hitting the road to Changi to eat nasi lemak.
We pavement cyclist prefer ... pavement, so we go and eat brunch at Airport Road Hawker Center, not far from ECP/Fort road junction
Thanks, Meng How for leading us there and also for you kind attention to our safety.
Vivian is not satisfied with the Lor Mee, so even if the queue is long, dont bother, eat something else

Wow wow looked like so much fun guys!!! Sigh I don't like working and busy start-up companies and doing school events and camps, and having a 3 nites a week tennis coaching course to handle all at one go!! Argh!!! How I wish I could only enjoy myself and join you guys...
Hey, at least I'm glad to share these wonderful memories with you all by viewing all the great photos you guys enthusiastically posed in! What a joy to see everyone, and hopefully I'll be there for the next one!!!

Truly agreed with you, OnF. Wearing a helmet is very very important and very very essential. Me too, hope to see more Strida owners putting on their helmets when they cycle. It is good to invest on a HELMET!!!!! Nothing beats protecting your HEAD and BRAIN ......... They are your FIXED ASSETS.
Oh yes, thank you for organising the ride at ECP. As usual, I had so much fun and also gets to know more routes during the ride.

You got two arms, two legs, if one is gone, it is bad, you still have another.
But you only have one head. If that is gone... can claim insurance lah... but you wont be around to enjoy the money.
Hair messy can be tidied. Hot? Can install fan. Injury? Even if call ambulance, still need to wait some time and while waiting, you can enjoy the pain.
Oh another thing, if you knock your head, you may be rendered unconscious. What will happen if someone perform CPR on you? ... OK still that person may safe your life, but imagine the saliva ... What if that person is from the other opposite of the spectrum of your preference?
Does that encourage you to wear a helmet now?
If that does not, um.. ok you deserve it.
