We reached Singapore and had lunch at Changi Village, but we are not done yet. The rows of strida becomes a crowd magnet of some sort.  Grin

Do you mean islands like Batam or Bintan? It will be quite a place to ride bicycle. It is somewhat like Sungei Rengit ride. Few cars, hardly any building between towns.

Other islands like Moro, Kundur and Karimun are more rural and less like 'cowboy towns' Havent been since 2000 so might be timely for a revisit. This boat can take dozens of folding bikes, inside.... Cheesy

Abt the same as Sg Rengit, but you know lah new Indo roads last one rainy season, so expect some off road and sandy road shoulders. Nice islands for cycling are Kundur and Karimun. Flat if you stick to the coast. Except for the karaokes, bars n bargirls in the towns of Tanjung Balai and Tg Batu, the countryside is really 'ulu'  Thanks to the oldest profession in the world, there are some nice modern hotels for cyclists to stay in. I've scanned some really old pics from 93 and 95, does one of the riders look familiar?  Huh Cheesy

Those scans are pretty good. The trees and plants in the first picture looks a little bit wash out though. Nothingtheless all pictures are still quite good after all these years. Another 15 more years going on 30?

Which island will be most ideal for the 2nd Oversea riding route?
Will there be any high point in the whole ride? For example like the fried butter lobsters...  Grin
